PA is one of two states
with multiple LOHV chapters. Chapters form when there's an
abuse that needs action, and PA has a LOT of work to do. Strides
have been made in some areas, but we still have a long way
to go and a lot of work ahead of us.
We’re
proud, therefore, to endorse and pledge our support, across
the state, for a man who has pledged to help move that work
along.
He’s pledged to support and strengthen the Dog
Law by appointing people to the Canine Health Board who truly
have the best interests of the DOGS at heart
He supports an end to the use of the gas chamber, a barbaric
method of killing shelter dogs and cats
He supports an end to
the 24/7 chaining of dogs
And he supports an end, finally,
to the pigeon shoot.
We couldn't ask for much
more in a candidate, but we got it.
Jack Wagner was eager to meet with us, and open to
discussing our goals.
Jack Wagner asked questions, did research,
asked more questions, and then put his support of our goals
in writing. (<click

Jack Wagner was proud to receive
our endorsement, and it was his idea to announce it in
a press conference (date to be announced - please stay
tuned) )- to show his support for the LOHV and our goals
- and to show support for ALL of PA's many rescues, shelters,
and animal advocacy groups.
